Tomica Bajsić (Zagreb, 1968) is a poet, prosaist, illustrator and translator. He studied Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. His poems have been translated in over twenty languages, and he has participated in numerous renowned poetry festival and readings all over Europe. He’s the general secretary of the Croatian PEN Centre.
Bajsić has published four poetry collections, two books of prose and has translated and edited four international poetry anthologies. His poetry debut, Southern Cross from 1998 was awarded with Goran’s Spring prize for the best young poet, and for Air Beneath the Sea he received a Dobriša Cesarić Award.
